This is a window into learning, helping your parents understand the program. Post news, events, photos that have happened during the week, for example, a maths lesson or buddy reading or a summative assessment task or a trip reflection. It should be updated weekly. Be selective – it is not everything that happens in the week and too much information will be confusing. Over time, you will build up a picture of learning in your grade level. It could be as simple as a photo with a caption. Single subject teachers can contribute and you might want to involve your students in updating your class sites or selecting what to share.
Homework: Please check the homework policy in the manual before you do this section:
Sample: The homework for Grade One is 20 minutes a day. This includes a book at their reading level and noting what was read in the reading diary each week. During our Grade One Back to School Day, we will be clarifying with you our weekly homework routine that will begin the second week of school.
